Default MAX & VRAY - Optimizing Memory Usage for Rendering

This PDF goes into how you can optimize your workflow to defeat memory issues. It's primairly aimed at the VRay render engine but there also a number of general tip and tricks in the document that anyone could benefit from.

VERY useful! THX John, you rock

You should publish this text on many CG sites, since it is a very very useful text (even experienced VRay users could learn a new thing or two). Now I am going to read it once more trough, test some things out, and if I have any questions - I'll post them here. Thanks again John!

Hi Glorybound!

Unfortunately we are having some issues with the attachments system of vbulletin. The hosting provider decided to move the account to a new server and that broke the permissions & links to attachments.

I do still have the pdf but I'm going to have to revise some parts of it because by now it's a little outdated (with regard to both VRay and 3ds Max).

Also, I don't think you will find anything you don't already know from the ChaosGroup forum You are the same Glorybound from the ChaosGroup forums, right?

I'll keep you posted anyway. As soon as the revisions are done I'll let you know

Cheers
