Hey,

I have recently purchased over $450 of art, and have hit a massive problem.

.bip files.

At least 4 of the models have a biped, that use .bip files. I can load a new bip file up easy enough, but I need all the keyframes from all of the bip files from that model to be loaded at once sequentially so I get one big 800 keyframe animation of everything.

My exporter then splits these into a perfect .X file for my game to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gronichonha everyone !
I was in an internet french desert, but not without computer !
So I've taken My survival first aid tool kit and enterprise (energy) to
rebuild my wife...
With the drop, I think you were very kind in your final comments ;)
But thanks, grace in this, I've kept on.
And here is the result.
First, the topo:

Attachment 7427

Attachment 7428

and with a turbo smooth:

Attachment 7429

Attachment 7430

I know there is a hole in the inner part of the eyes, eyes made with the Eric's tuto in surfacic part. (thanks Wolf :) ).
So I'll treat this area with an independant shape to be easier to render.
It's a kind of muscle helpinf to move the eye, so it must be independant of eyeball I think.
For the hair I will try an alternative technic.
Apply texture in modelisated hair.
In parallel, I will try to understand the myster of hair and fur...
I must say I totally lost with the way to hairscult in max 2009 ...

Hi everyone!

I tried to draw topology lines into a picture I have and I would appreciate any advice from you (link is below this text).

It's very rough because I drew it with a mouse only - it was a pain, I need a new tablet :-).

I have decided to choose girls head reference images for my first head modeling (next time I will probably try my own to be able to see more wrinkles :-)). Actually I tried three or four-times to model a head, next time I would like to post one here to consult it with you too -).

Thanks in advance.

I uploaded the picture to imageshack.us because I am not sure about its size.

New Computer, Render Time Issues with Vray

Hello everyone,

I recently built a new computer. I am using Phenom II 1055T HexCore PSU with 4gb ram. I am running windows 7 64 bit.

I have this book on 3d rendering with Vray and 3dsMax and when i started going through it and i got to the first render is when i noticed a problem. The author said he was using a quad core PSU and 4gb ram and his render took 45 min. I used the exact same file/settings and mine was showing a ETA of 90+ Hours.

I also noticed that my CPU usage was very low. Ranging from 30-50% while calculating the Light Cache.

Is Vray not capable of using multiple cores? Is there a setting somewhere that i need to change? I build this computer specifically for rendering so 95 hour render times arent going to cut it :(.

If anyone has any suggestions plz let me know. Thanks

Hey guys,

It has been a while since I have been on the forums.....again :P
Just been having to deal with a lot of different things going on around and in my life. I haven't really given my creative/artistic side(the little I have left :P) a chance to do anything. I can't really work on any 3d projects, new and unfinished(which I have a lot of) since my computer is all screwed up and can't really handle 3d applications very well in its condition. Luckily photoshop seems to be functioning pretty well.

I haven't really been very strong in drawing, so I think it will be great to work on it as much as I can. I always wanted to be able to create concept drawings (decent looking ones hehe) that I can create into a 3d model. I always jumped straight into modelling and would improvise on the spot. Doing it this way I would often hit a dead end and wouldn't be motivated enough to find a different path (main reason I have so many unfinished projects)

So I brushed all the dust off of my wacom tablet and after I stopped sneezing I started working on some sketches. I had a theme stuck in my head about Robots at work...not really sure why lol. It was fun to draw again, something I really needed. Well here is what I got. I will probably play around with this idea some more, eventually draw out a whole scene.
